Entrepreneurs Make Bold Decisions In Life In Order To Create Success.

August 5th, 2010 by simonhaggard in Business, Inspiration, Personal Development

Make Bold decisions in life which allow you to move forward . Well how do you do this? Identify the decision for you and what is it you want, then gather the information so you can then start the move forward! Source : BFE

Decisions are important because they are what we use to direct our life and a tool to create everything we have and experience. Bring about self confidence and self esteem! Source: BFE

Lean from the experts!
Why continuous learning? Consider these facts…

1) The average person will increase their salary by only 2-3% annually.

2) Each year inflation increases by approximately 2-3% annually.

3)That means that, without lifelong learning, it’s virtually impossible for the average person to get ahead.
However…

1) Top Achievers, people who are continually learning and growing, DOUBLE their income every 3-5 years.

2) This is why the top 10-20% earns more than the bottom 80%! To separate yourself from the pack, you often need to know just one additional skill…and that will make all the difference in your pay scale.

Make Decisions Today to Have FUN!

Info on Achieving Financial Independence – Polaris Global

May 13th, 2010 by simonhaggard in Inspiration

We have talked about how important it is to take the entrepreneurial leap and stop climbing the corporate ladder.

Now that you’re ready to take action and leave the daily grind behind, how are you going to find the right, profitable, legitimate business?

First, beware of business advertisements that make unrealistic promises, selling you on the concept of “overnight wealth and success”.

When you find someone with a business that interests you, spend a little time to get to know the person.

Ask the right questions and be sure their business offers the following 3 things:
1. Profitable Products

Look for high-priced, big profit products that deliver exceptional value. Why?

Because it will take you the same amount of time, money and energy to sell a product with a small commission as it will to sell a product that can make you several thousand per sale.
2. Back-End Sales

Make sure the business has a back-end product line that increases in price, value, and profit. Why?

Because your repeat customers will make you bigger profits on their second, third and fourth purchases.

3. Residual Income

It is important that you are rewarded, as a business owner, and have the opportunity to create true wealth.

The only way true wealth is created is through passive, residual income.  That’s income that you do not have to work for every day.

That’s true financial freedom.

In the meantime, if you want to see an example of a business with high-profit products, serious back-end potential, plus residual income, give us a call!

Make Today Great

Finding Your North Star & Asking Your Future Self

April 29th, 2010 by simonhaggard in Inspiration, Personal Development

What Is It For You?…

1. Statistics show that the common denominator between successful people is that just days before their business or life exponentially increased and began showing signs of improvement, they felt futility of their hard work and had ‘thoughts’ at one time or another of stopping….but thankfully they didn’t!

Imagine this for yourself!

Don’t quit, even when it feels like hard work, or you’re under valuing your efforts and your self critique is high. Keep going, you could just be nearing the ‘Breakthrough’ to your own Success!

2. Entrepreneurs believe in themselves, even when no one else does, and, they cannot explain why they believe in themselves because it’s a faith that comes from inside beyond words or justification.

Every time a successful business person is interviewed and asked ‘what kept you going’ or ‘what made you know this was a winner?’, the answer is the same……..’I believed it could happen and then I found the way to make it happen’.

Believe in yourself, even if no one else does. Dare to allow your dreams be the barometer that guides you from week to week as you discover your way to success.

Success is different for everyone, so don’t compare what other’s are doing as their dreams are theirs and Your Dreams are Yours. Your dreams are no less important than any one else’s!

Are You Stuck In The Herd…..I Was And Was Not Aware Of It Either!

April 24th, 2010 by simonhaggard in Inspiration, Personal Development

We are herd animals and when herd animals get separated from the herd, they get nervous and suffer fear. it’s not “natural”. it doesn’t feel “right”. it doesn’t feel “normal”. When we stop being a part of the JOB Herd, not only do we have to deal with critiques from others in the JOB Herd we may have left, we also have to deal with the naysayers because, when we leave the JOB, we’re leaving the herd.

I personally have never been one to be in agreeance with others all the time, however allowed myself to be caught up in the herd and with the masses. I continually strived for success by working harder and longer to achieve the result I was looking to achieve.
The problem with this was that someone else was in control; gave the direction, then did not follow through; set the targets, without a plan and raise the bar increasing the goals, then moving the goal posts

I realised I deserved more, deserved better in life than where I was. I was not going to achieve what I wanted to achieve. So I went in search of something that was going to allow me to live the life I was looking to create. Be in control!

I had noticed that, when I decided to leave the herd, the great majority of our friends and acquaintances seemed less than supportive? I certainly had the feeling that many of these same friends and acquaintances would really like nothing better than to see us fail? Why do you suppose that is?

Because we’re making them nervous, it can’t be better. They don’t want you to leave. It’s self-preservation that motivates their attempts to sabotage your opportunity, to pull you back into the herd. If you study history in even the most superficial way, you know that there is no honour in self-preservation. The vast majority of people will do anything to survive, to maintain the status quo, to avoid the pain of change.

Well, I’ve left the herd; your doubting advice I do not choose to hear any more.
I prefer the company of Warriors!

What can you do to make changes in your life to get out of the HERD?

What Does It Take In Order To Make A Change

April 6th, 2010 by simonhaggard in Personal Development

Well the Question Asked By Many….

In your quest for abundance, whether it be spiritual, financial, emotional, etc…who do you listen to?

Most people listen to others who are NOT successful…people who are negative and disbelieving of happiness and joy. My question to you is: Who do you listen to?

I suggest that if you want to be happier than you’ve ever been, enjoy the highest level of emotional well-being, experience dynamic physical health and realize financial freedom that you listen to those who have already achieved all that.

Wow! What a concept…listen to those who already have what you want.

You know all those wealthy and happy people that are propped up in our society? They didn’t get there by listening to people who are not living their dreams. They got there by listening to those who are living their dreams.

If you can finally grasp this secret of success, you are one step closer to achieving all that you’ve ever dreamed.

Entrepreneurs accept educated risk and are able to make big decisions quickly once they have all the information. They make a decision and take some risk. No successful entrepreneur ever accomplished anything significant by playing it safe! Stop waiting for the perfect time, the perfect opportunity, or the perfect situation. Take decisive action now and stop procrastinating.

Three “Musts” for Every Entrepreneur

February 8th, 2010 by simonhaggard in Uncategorized

Essential Qualities for the Self-Employed
If you have the desire, you can be an entrepreneur. But just having the desire won’t necessarily make you successful. There are three fundamental attributes you will need. Whether they come to you naturally, or you have to work on developing them, these three qualities are vital for building a successful foundation for self-employment.
1. Know Your Business

The first essential element for success as an entrepreneur is to know your business. Whatever it is–know it like the back of your hand. Whatever entrepreneurial endeavours you are involved in–be it real estate, network marketing, Internet commerce, you name it–you need to strive to have an exhaustive knowledge of it.

Most people think the way to get involved in self-employment is to go out and start or buy a business. The part they leave out is training for the business. There’s something to be said for just “taking the plunge,” but you should at least know how deep it is before you jump in.

Once you dive in, you must continue to educate yourself about your business. After all, continued education is what will drive your earnings through the roof. So whatever business you decide to pursue, commit to learning as much as you possibly can. Every single time you meet another professional, attend another seminar, or read another book in your field, you are building your own professional competency.
2. Focus

Most of today’s millionaires–and even billionaires–didn’t start off owning 10 or 20 different businesses. They started making money by focusing on one. You simply cannot make big money by putting energy into a dozen things at once.

Some entrepreneurs love to try and put ALL their ideas into motion at once. But that’s how you lose focus. And losing focus will kill your momentum in any entrepreneurial endeavour. Don’t be one of those people who gets sidetracked as soon as you start to get some traction in your life. If you want to build momentum–and keep the focus–quit driving in the city. Get on a highway, put your foot on the gas, and forget about the exit ramps.

Approach your business with a single-mindedness of purpose–and don’t let anything draw your focus away until you have made it successful. From there, you can continue to build that business, start a new one, or–as many entrepreneurs like to do–both!
3. Persistence

You knew this one was coming. Persistence. A necessary attribute for ANY entrepreneur. So many aspiring entrepreneurs would be much more successful if they only gave themselves a chance. But every time they are about to break free, they encounter some resistance and decide it’s too difficult. Don’t be one of those people.

Call it what you want–perseverance, relentlessness, determination, resolve–just make sure you practice it. When you hit a wall–as you most assuredly will–it’s okay to withdraw, regroup, and try another strategy. That’s not quitting. That’s smart business. Practice persistence in all your entrepreneurial endeavours–and stick with them.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing in the world is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” –Calvin Coolidge Embracing Personal Responsibility
You Are the Cause of Everything that Happens
Today’s message is a tough one. It’s tough because it deals with a topic that is VERY difficult for some people to come to terms with.

But once they do, their lives are forever changed by it.

The culture in our nation today suggests to us that the things that happen in our lives are–in large part–out of our control. The pervasive underlying tone of society suggests that all the things we experience in our health, our relationships, and our business endeavours (good or bad) are somehow out of our hands. That’s not true.
You have to take 100 percent responsibility for your life if you want to thrive. If you’re used to playing the role of the victim, successful entrepreneurship (and life in general) will be extremely difficult for you. If you feel your life is the result of other people’s actions and decisions–and not your own choices–that means you have no control over your life. It means others are controlling it for you.

It’s only when you take complete personal responsibility that you can truly learn and have power over every situation. It’s easier to play the victim card, but if you do that, you won’t progress in life.
Now keep in mind, we’re not suggesting you take blame for things other people do or beat yourself up for mistakes. We’re all human, after all. And humans make mistakes. We’re talking about the attitude that you’re the cause of everything that happens–and has happened–in your life. Who do you think is creating the outcomes in your life? You are!

You’re the ONLY one that can produce a result in your life. If you don’t like the outcome, you must change the behaviour. Unsuccessful behaviour is trying to find the scapegoat in your life. Successful behaviour is understanding, real simply, that if it happened–you did it.

So look around you. Countless people in our country today like to play the blame game. And they are as miserable–and unsuccessful–as can be. Don’t fall into that mode of thinking. Start accepting personal responsibility immediately. You’ll be amazed at how you begin to have power over all situations. If you’ve been used to society’s way of thinking, it may be a hard pill to swallow at first. But soon you’ll start to see results in every facet of your life. You’ll start to experience more positive outcomes in your health, your relationships, and especially your business endeavours.

Remember: You are the cause of everything that happens in your life. Adopt this attitude and never look back. Once you have this power, the only person who can stop you is you!

Essential Traits to a Successful Entrepreneur

January 6th, 2010 by simonhaggard in Business, Inspiration, Personal Development

What exactly is meant by entrepreneur? An individual ready to take on financial risks and is ready for venturing into new financial projects for profit is an entrepreneur and a person who holds seriously the responsibility for the risks as well as outcome which are incurred in a project.

Derived from French words ‘entre’ and ‘prendre’, which mean to enter and to take respectively, the word was introduced in English for the first ever time by Richard Cantillon, who was a renowned Irish economist. He defined entrepreneur as a person who acts as the middle-man between labor and capital.

Being an entrepreneur is one of the most difficult and challenging, yet rewarding undertakings that a person can venture into. The situations are very rarely in favor of the entrepreneur so certain traits are required to be a successful entrepreneur. Let’s examine some of the traits that are essential for an entrepreneur to be successful.
Focused or Confused

Entrepreneurs need to be thoroughly focused. Focus must be on the goals and aims they want to achieve. The goals set by them should focus on satisfying the customer needs and requirements. I am a firm believer that if you help others to get what they want you will eventually get what you want. Entrepreneurs should also focus on rendering motivation to his employees, team mates or associates which in turn can make the customers satisfied and build the business.
Vision with a Plan

The next essential trait that must be possessed by an entrepreneur is vision. It is an entrepreneur’s vision that helps them foresee where they want their venture to be positioned in future. The vision should be framed in such a way that it is realistic and achievable. The entrepreneur should be able to communicate this vision to employees or associates who also in turn should be passionate about the vision.

Leadership

The third buzz word for being a successful entrepreneur is to be a good leader. An entrepreneur cannot work alone for his goals to be successful. With a focused team and vision in hand synergy is accomplished. It is team work which needs proper guidance. A team does not succeed unless it has a leader which works hard and who is able to identify the needs of the team and guide them towards their vision.

Persistence and Passion

Lack of passion is something that will never give you success. Anything you do must be done whole-heartedly and sincerely combined with lots of passion. Then only, you will be able to achieve success. Similar is the case with persistence. There is no shortcut to victory. Only hard work which comes with a strong determination of being successful yields victory. There will be times where you feel that you are yielding out yourself, but if you possess a very strong will power and are very passionate about what you do then victory will definitely be yours.

Technical Skills

Even though you are an entrepreneur or the boss of your firm, it does not imply that you need not have any idea regarding the technical aspect of the firm. The entrepreneurs need not be the greatest technical assets of the company, but they should have enough technical knowledge to lead the technical team. They should be able to understand what the technical team is communicating so that they can work together for achieving the vision.
Flexibility

Last, but not the least, entrepreneurs should be able to adapt themselves to the ever-changing dynamic world. Even though they will have to stick on to certain policies and skill sets, they must make sure that the policies and strategies are molded in such a way that they can adapt to the constantly changing environment.

Are all these skills in born or can they be acquired? There are varying opinions. While there are people who believe that there are quite a few traits which can be acquired by experiences, there are others who think they are in-born. This is where continued education is a must. An entrepreneur must identify strengths, focus on them and then continually become educated in areas for improvement.
