Finding Your North Star & Asking Your Future Self

April 29, 2010 by Simon Haggard

What Is It For You?…

1. Statistics show that the common denominator between successful people is that just days before their business or life exponentially increased and began showing signs of improvement, they felt futility of their hard work and had ‘thoughts’ at one time or another of stopping….but thankfully they didn’t!

Imagine this for yourself!

Don’t quit, even when it feels like hard work, or you’re under valuing your efforts and your self critique is high. Keep going, you could just be nearing the ‘Breakthrough’ to your own Success!

2. Entrepreneurs believe in themselves, even when no one else does, and, they cannot explain why they believe in themselves because it’s a faith that comes from inside beyond words or justification.

Every time a successful business person is interviewed and asked ‘what kept you going’ or ‘what made you know this was a winner?’, the answer is the same……..’I believed it could happen and then I found the way to make it happen’.

Believe in yourself, even if no one else does. Dare to allow your dreams be the barometer that guides you from week to week as you discover your way to success.

Success is different for everyone, so don’t compare what other’s are doing as their dreams are theirs and Your Dreams are Yours. Your dreams are no less important than any one else’s!

Are You Stuck In The Herd…..I Was And Was Not Aware Of It Either!

April 24, 2010 by Simon Haggard

As humans there has been much discussion and documentation to suggest that we get caught up in “the herd” and are in fact a part of “the herd”.  People within “the herd” demonstrate herd like behavior and do not like to see others attempt to move faster or breakaway from the herd, this creates fear and uncertainty amongst the group.

When considering to no longer be a part of the JOB/EMPLOYED Herd, not only do we have to deal with critiques from others in the JOB/EMPLOYED Herd we may have left, we also have to deal with the naysayers because, when we leave the JOB/EMPLOYMENT, we’re leaving the herd.

I personally have never been one to be in agreeance with others all the time, however allowed myself to be caught up in the herd and with the masses. I continually strived for success by working harder and longer to achieve the result I was looking to achieve.

The problem with this was that someone else was in control; gave the direction, then did not follow through; set the targets, without a plan and raise the bar increasing the goals, then moving the goal posts.

I realised I deserved more, deserved better in life than where I was. I was not going to achieve what I wanted to achieve. So I went in search of something that was going to allow me to live the life I was looking to create. Be in control!

It was evident to me that when I decided to depart from the herd, some of my close friends and work associates made fun of and mocked my decision to  go it alone. I felt that many of these close friends and work associates were surprised with the choices and decisions I was making and would like nothing more than for me to stay within the herd!

My actions make them question themselves, can the grass be greener? Could this lead me to greater pastures elsewhere? These individuals want me to stay with them in the herd, that way they too can feel strength within themselves and that they then played some role in the sabotage of my opportunity. Self sabotage is an instinct that many individuals unknowingly undertake on themselves and project onto others, when faced with challenges or uncertainty in life. Many individuals will do whatever it takes to keep others apart of their very own herd, which makes them feel in control, that they are a leader and influencer within this herd.

I chose to leave the herd; so your comments and criticism I chose to not allow into my world.

I choose today to stand alongside and on the shoulders of Entrepreneurs!

What can you do to make changes in your life to get out of the HERD?

What Does It Take In Order To Make A Change

April 6, 2010 by Simon Haggard

Well the Question Asked By Many….

In your quest for abundance, whether it be spiritual, financial, emotional, etc…who do you listen to?

Most people listen to others who are NOT successful…people who are negative and disbelieving of happiness and joy. My question to you is: Who do you listen to?

I suggest that if you want to be happier than you’ve ever been, enjoy the highest level of emotional well-being, experience dynamic physical health and realize financial freedom that you listen to those who have already achieved all that.

Wow! What a concept…listen to those who already have what you want.

You know all those wealthy and happy people that are propped up in our society? They didn’t get there by listening to people who are not living their dreams. They got there by listening to those who are living their dreams.

If you can finally grasp this secret of success, you are one step closer to achieving all that you’ve ever dreamed.

Entrepreneurs accept educated risk and are able to make big decisions quickly once they have all the information. They make a decision and take some risk. No successful entrepreneur ever accomplished anything significant by playing it safe! Stop waiting for the perfect time, the perfect opportunity, or the perfect situation. Take decisive action now and stop procrastinating.
